We regularly get asked for ways to have better conversation with spouses.  One of the topics we get asked about is how to talk about faith based stuff...like devotionals for couples.  There are some great options out there, but we figured why not feature a familiar face; TMM co-founder Mark.  Mark hosts a weekly video devotional called Faith in Five and the current series "Marriage Mantras" happens to be specifically about marriage.

Faith in Five is a mid-week video devotional designed for a quick watch/listen in five minutes or less.  It's perfect for personal growth, processing further with your spouse or family, facilitating small group discussions, or sharing with friends. Faith in Five is not always about marriage, but it is a simple tool for discussing faith concepts with your spouse regardless of the topic.  This week's Marriage Mantra is "Marriage is a marathon, not a sprint."  Be sure to tune in for the entire series, where Mark will introduce a new mantra each week with a faith-based twist.

When we start something there is always a lot of excitement and plans for greatness. Unfortunately, the excitement is typically short-lived, and we start to fade. Whether it’s training to run a marathon, a house project, a New Year’s resolution, or even marriage, we start out excited but naturally experience a dip in excitement in almost everything we set out to do. The dip in excitement, in and of itself isn’t the problem, it’s our inability to reconcile our expectations of greatness with reality.
